Michael Bisping slams ‘coward’ Jake Paul for ‘preying’ on combat legends during fight career

Michael Bisping tore into Jake Paul in a scathing rant about his run of wins over legendary fighters to date.

The former UFC middleweight champion has long had a feud with Paul, even finding a commission that would sanction the pair to compete despite the fact that he has just one functioning eye. He feels that the social media star has taken advantage of great fighters at the end of their careers.

Paul has defeated the likes of Anderson Silva, Tyron Woodley, Mike Perry and Ben Askren all in the twilight of their careers, with most coming by brutal stoppage. Most recently, he enticed Mike Tyson out of retirement at the age of 58 for one last fight, which he won by unanimous decision.

Michael Bisping shreds Jake Paul in social media rant

The long-standing feud between Michael Bisping and Jake Paul reared its ugly head again this afternoon as the UFC legend was responding to fans on social media. He joked that the social media star wouldn’t fight him until he turns 59, before tearing into his entire fighting career.

“Sorry to say it but you’re incorrect,” he told a fan who noted that Paul has gone from Disney Channel actor to boxer, particularly taking issue with the idea that the American should be considered a true fighter.

“He portrays himself as a fighter but in reality he’s a business man and not a ‘fighter’ by any stretch. Can’t fault him for that. We all wanna make money. But He preys on older legends that are Way past their prime.

“A real fighter doesn’t know they’re gonna win and they don’t cherry pick fights. They take fights they know they might lose. That’s what’s exciting and inspiring to the average man. Not beating someone way past it at least 20 years younger. That’s coward s—.”

This is not the first time that the pair have said uncomplimentary things about one another. Back in 2022 he named Bisping on his six-man hitlist, and the pair even went as far as finding a venue that could allow for the UFC icon to compete with just one eye.

“I also think it’s a silly callout,” Paul said at the time. “It’s a one-round fight, he’s an old guy. But here’s the thing. Here’s the thing about me; if someone talks s—, I have to f— them up. You see, I have a f—ing problem in my head.

“If someone talks s— let’s f—ing settle it in the ring, let’s see if you’re really about that or if you’re just talking on Twitter. So these guys who think they’re so tough, UFC champions, I’ll beat the f— out of all of them and I’ve got time to do it.

“Any of them can get it as fast as we can get these deals done, I’m knocking them all out. Bisping wants to talk s—? Cool, let’s get in the ring motherf—er. Get in the f—ing ring.”
