Mike Tyson has been offered the chance to make another return to the ring against one of MMA’s greatest ever fighters.
The legendary heavyweight boxing champion infamously came back to the sport last November to face Jake Paul in a bizarre super-fight which drew over 100million viewers on Netflix. However, he didn’t look too hot after the bout had to be delayed past his 58th birthday due to multiple health issues.
Now, he is being given the chance to take on a slightly more age-appropriate challenge by the head of Kazakhstan’s Alash Pride League. He would take on a legendary heavyweight great from the MMA world, who Joe Rogan has said was the greatest of all time despite never fighting in the UFC.
Mike Tyson offered comeback fight against Fedor Emelianenko
Despite how tough to watch his fight with Jake Paul was, there is still major interest in seeing Mike Tyson fight again. He is one of the most popular fighters of all time, and intrigues fans even now as he pushes towards 60 years old.
And he could end up matched with the legendary MMA heavyweight champion Fedor Emelianenko by Kazakh promotion Alash Pride FC. They even have a date in place for an event they would like to run which would be headlined by the duo.
APL President, Alimzhan Bektaev, told the press yesterday: “We are planning a bout between Mike Tyson and Fedor Emelianenko. Work in this direction is already underway… The tournament, where we want to invite Mike Tyson, is scheduled for December.”
Fedor Emelianenko has discussed Mike Tyson fight before
Back when Tyson made his initial ring return against Roy Jones Jr for a covid-era exhibition, Emelianenko was a keen viewer. The bout sold 1.8million pay-per-views, and led to a number of big offers including an initial look at a fight between the two MMA greats.

During an appearance on The MMA Hour, Emelianenko was asked about the potential of a fight back in 2023, telling host Ariel Helwani: “We watched the fight on TV of Roy Jones Jr. vs. Mike Tyson. Mike Tyson would be an interesting fight.
“He has a big name, he’s a legend… It would be interesting because you can see a lot of his videos on YouTube and all over the place, he’s still in good shape. He still works pads, he still has that same power.”
