Mike Tyson’s Last Trainer Saw Him Quit On His Stool And Now ‘100%’ Knows Who Wins Jake Paul Fight

Mike Tyson returns to the ring this year after retiring as a professional all the way back in 2005. He will face YouTuber-Turned-boxer Jake Paul in a controversial eight-rounder.

The night he hung up the gloves, ‘Iron’ Mike had retired on his stool after six rounds against Kevin McBride. The man in his corner was Australia’s Jeff Fenech. The former three-weight world champion also helped Tyson prepare for his 2020 exhibition against Roy Jones Jr.

Although Tyson performed well that night against his fellow boxing legend, many in the sport worry for him entering the ring at 58-years-old to face the active Paul, 27, for a pro contest, albeit with softer rules.

Fenech – who is recovering from heart surgery but has been in contact with ‘Iron’ Mike to check on preparations – told Wide World of Sports the former undisputed heavyweight champion can end the fight in one minute.

“I have no doubt if Mike takes it easy and doesn’t try to punch at the same time, if he makes Jake Paul miss, Mike will knock him out in a couple of rounds. One-hundred per cent.

I spoke to Mike and I told him what I felt. Hopefully he’ll listen to me. We said the same thing anyway. If he does what he said then I have no doubt he will knock him out. He’ll have no problem.

We were talking about my health and that. I’m not worried about my health, don’t get me wrong I am, but I’m more worried about him, and hope he does the right thing to beat Jake Paul.

If Mike lands one clean punch. If he makes him miss, he will make him pay. If he doesn’t try and strike at the same time, and is patient, the fight could be over in one minute.”

Tyson and Paul are set to face off on November 15 after an initial postponement on medical grounds.
