Monica Danús is done staying quiet—and she’s standing by her man.
After facing waves of skepticism and side-eye from former castmates and fans alike, the Love Is Blind alum has finally responded to the whispers and mockery surrounding her relationship with Ben Mezzenga. And she’s not mincing words.
“You can laugh at my love story,” Monica shared in a heartfelt Instagram post on Sunday. “You can make jokes, roll your eyes, or doubt what we have—but the truth is, I love Ben more than you’ll ever understand.”
Monica’s message comes after reports circulated that several of her former Love Is Blind castmates had been poking fun at her romance behind the scenes—suggesting the relationship wasn’t serious, or worse, just a rebound storyline. But according to Monica, their love is anything but surface-level.
“Ben is the kindest, most patient, most real person I’ve ever met,” she continued. “He sees me—all of me—and he never asked me to shrink or hide parts of who I am. How could I not love that?”
The couple, who made headlines earlier this year after confirming their relationship post-show, have been open about the ups and downs they’ve faced—both on-camera and off. But despite the noise, Monica says the bond she and Ben share has only grown deeper.
“It’s easy to criticize something you don’t understand,” she wrote. “But Ben and I didn’t find each other by accident. We found each other because we were ready for something real. And that’s exactly what we’ve got.”
With her trademark grace and defiant strength, Monica ended her message with a simple vow: “You don’t have to get it. You just have to watch it last.”
And from the looks of things, Monica and Ben are just getting started.
