New “Bachelor” Grant Ellis gave some hints about his upcoming season during a New Year’s Eve interview with host Ryan Seacrest.
“I’m looking for someone who is kind,” Ellis told Seacrest, the video shows.
“A beautiful woman doesn’t hurt,” Ellis continued.
He also revealed what matters to him most. “Yeah, someone who is kind and who is ready for marriage, a long-lasting committed relationship,” he told Seacrest.
Ellis was a contestant on Jenn Tran’s season of “The Bachelorette.” Season 29 of “The Bachelor,” featuring Ellis as the lead, starts on January 27.

Seacrest tried to probe for additional details. “What can you tell us, if anything, about your season?” he asked.
“I can’t tell you much,“ Ellis said, but he added, “I can tell you to tune in on January 27th and maybe you’ll see a beautiful love story.”
“I have a feeling we will,” Seacrest responded, to which Ellis grinned widely.
Ellis also posted a picture showing him with Seacrest to his Instagram page. “2025 is a New year baby!
I hope everyone is blessed and spent time with the people they love 💜” he wrote.

Former “Golden Bachelorette” gave Ellis a shout-out on his Instagram page.
“Can’t wait…I’m going to love watching someone else go on this crazy journey! I know Grant and he is such a caring and thoughtful man! I’ll be glued to my TV on Monday nights!” she wrote on his comment thread.
According to North Jersey.com, Ellis currently lives in Houston, Texas, but “was raised in Newark,” New Jersey.
“He graduated from Hudson Catholic Regional High School in Jersey City and went on to play basketball at Ionia University in New York,” the newspaper reported.
Ellis then played basketball overseas “until an injury ended his career,” New Jersey.com reported.
