Robert Saleh and Dennis Allen were a combined 4-10 with the New York Jets and New Orleans Saints, respectively, when they were fired, and they could be just the first two on a long list of coaches who could potentially lose their job this season.

Chicago’s Matt Eberflus, Cincinnati’s Zac Taylor, Cleveland’s Kevin Stefanski, Dallas’ Mike McCarthy, Jacksonville’s Doug Pederson, New York’s Brian Daboll and Philadelphia’s Nick Sirianni are all on the hot seat and some could potentially be looking for new jobs soon.

But according to NFL insider Armando Salguero of Outkick and Fox News, there’s one first-year head coach who would be let go as soon as Week 18 ends.

“I cannot guarantee the Raiders will stick with Antonio Pierce after the season,” Salguero wrote. “He's desperately searching for answers at quarterback and on his own coaching staff, making changes this week, including bringing in longtime coach Norv Turner.

“You know what happens after the season if the team doesn't play better the next two months? Owner Mark Davis will want answers, as is his right. And Pierce better have some good ones, along with a plan going forward. Davis has pulled the trigger on multiple head coaches since he's been in Vegas.”

Pierce impressed Raiders owner Mark Davis last season enough to promote him from interim head coach (he went 5-4 after replacing Josh McDaniels after he was fired) to the position full-time.

However, he’s been uninspiring in his first season in a non-interim role as the Raiders are just 2-7 and were forced to trade away top star Davante Adams after he voiced frustration with the direction the team was heading and requested to be traded.

Questions have been raised recently if Pierce has lost the Raiders locker room after five straight losses, and if things don’t turn around, Davis could opt to hit the reset button in the offseason and bring in a new head coach and let him draft his franchise quarterback.
