Scheana Shay isn’t here for the haters questioning her New York Times Best Seller status.
The Vanderpump Rules alum’s first memoir, My Good Side, landed on the coveted list — but fans noticed the infamous “dagger of death” symbol next to her name.
For those new to the tea: that dagger (†) means the NYT suspects a chunk of sales came from bulk orders, raising eyebrows about whether the spot was earned by readers or… by strategic shopping.
On her Scheananigans podcast, Scheana shut down the whispers.
She says she only bought six copies herself (plus 15 advance ones from her publisher.)
The rest came from friends, family, and fans who scooped them up during her book tour.
The “dagger drama,” she claims, likely came from her partnership with Premiere Collectables, which sold the books at her signings.
“Because so many of my fans came out to the tour, got their books from Premiere instead of a mix of other retailers, I guess the New York Times flagged it,” Scheana said.
But does she care? Not really.
“Would I rather be on the list with a dagger or not be on it at all?” she quipped.
Scheana says her Canadian bestseller status — where she had zero tour dates — proves her sales came from real readers, not shady tactics.
Plus, her audiobook made the list too.
