Packers' Jordan Love Weighs In On Frustrating Jaire Alexander Situation

The Green Bay Packers are one of the more interesting teams across the NFL landscape. Green Bay has all sorts of talent on its roster but they just haven't been able to get over the hump to win a Super Bowl with this core.

Green Bay is led by star quarterback Jordan Love, giving them a legitimate chance each time on the field. But the team needs other pieces if they are to reach their goal of a title.

Packers' Jordan Love Weighs In On Frustrating Jaire Alexander Situation

Love knows this and recently weighed in on the ongoing status of star cornerback Jaire Alexander. Alexander has been dealing with potential trade rumors with the Packers, but Love seems to think Green Bay needs to keep him around.

“I need to reach out to Ja, see what the deal is…he’s got his own world going on…but that’s a player we need”

Alexander has dealt with some injury concerns of late, but when he is on the field, he has been one of the best. The star cornerback was limited to just seven games this past season due to injury.

The veteran posted 16 total tackles and two interceptions during his time on the field. Alexander also scored a touchdown on a return for Green Bay.

This team could use his services to help bolster the secondary heading into the new season. Green Bay has all the tools to be successful again this year, but they need their leader on defense.

Love understands this, but it remains to be seen if the Green Bay management will as well. With the NFL Draft coming up next week, there is always a chance the Packers could move on from Alexander during the event.
