Packers Predicted to Trade for Two-Time Pro Bowl WR

While all eyes will soon be on the free agent market, set to begin March 12 in the NFL landscape, a couple of Pro Bowl stars could also be available via trade.

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf recently requested a trade after six years with the organization.

During his time with the Seahawks, Metcalf has cemented himself as one of the top wide receivers in the NFL, posting five touchdowns and 992 yards on 66 receptions last season.

Packers Predicted to Trade for Two-Time Pro Bowl WR

As Metcalf and the Seahawks work to find the two-time Pro Bowl wide receiver a new home, a recent trade prediction by Garrett Podell at CBS Sports has Metcalf landing with the Green Bay Packers.

Podell predicts Metcalf, who has one year remaining on his contract, will be paired with quarterback Jordan Love in the NFC.

Metcalf would be joining an 11-7 squad that suffered a 22-10 loss to the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles in the Wild Card Round of the playoffs.

Last season, Love recorded 25 touchdowns and 3,389 yards with a 63.1 completion percentage. Love had a solid year alongside a couple of quality pass-catchers in the receiving corps, including Romeo Doubs, Jayden Reed and Christian Watson.

As Podell explained, the Packers have the ability to use one of these names as a chess piece in a potential Metcalf trade.
