Summer House‘s leading couple Paige DeSorbo and Craig Conover have been together for years, long enough that Paige feels comfortable revealing that there was a moment when she was practically afraid of him.
Paige DeSorbo Got Scared By Craig Conover
Paige spoke about the early beginnings of their relationship on a recent livestream and admitted that she didn’t get the best vibe from Craig at first, to say the very least.
In fact, the reality star even went as far as comparing her beau to a serial killer. “When I first started dating Craig, I immediately thought that he was a serial killer because we would get on planes, and he would be in jeans and that really frightened me,” she explained.
DeSorbo was eventually able to convince him to switch from jeans to sweatpants when they go to the airport, so it’s safe to say that the serial killer comparison has gone away.
Their Rollercoaster Relationship
It’s no shock that there was once some uneasiness about the future of their relationship because there are still rumors going on that all is not well between the two.
In Season 8, Craig made viewers’ jaws drop when he implied that he wouldn’t care if they broke up or stayed together.
“I love Paige, but I’m almost becoming the best version of myself, and so if we work out, we work out, but if we don’t, it’s not the end of the world,” he said on camera. “I mean, there’s always that chance.”
On top of that on-screen bombshell conversation, the couple has been navigating both the judgment from the public eye and being long-distance. Conover is based in South Carolina while DeSorbo calls New York City home.
They’ve been vulnerable about how the distance has caused strains on their relationship and has made things harder as time has gone on.
Wedding Bells Coming Soon?
Fans have been asking the two about their marriage plans ever since they got together, but they’ve both made it clear that it’s not in the cards for them right now.
Paige even revealed that the thought of engagement freaks her out. “Last time a boyfriend wanted to propose to me, I broke out into hives, and I ran away,” she shared. If they do decide to take that step in their relationship, that would be each of their first engagement.
But, based on the fallout between their co-stars Lindsay Hubbard and Carl Radke after they got engaged, maybe taking time to get to know each other more is the better option.
