Paige DeSorbo is reflecting on her breakup from Craig Conover.
The Summer House cast member confirmed her split from the Southern Charm-er on the December 30 episode of her and Hannah Berner's podcast, Giggly Squad. The co-hosts also spoke about Craig's impact on Paige's growth over the last few years.
"I remember when you found him, he was the first guy who really lifted you up," Hannah said on the podcast. "He got you, he was so proud of you for what you were accomplishing on TV and off TV, and you hadn't had a guy support you like that. He's a huge reason for who you are in the last couple of years becoming who you are."
Paige thanked the Summer House alum for pointing that out.
"He truly helped me grow so much in these past three years," Paige said about her ex. "Like, I am a different person than when I started dating him. Like, I truly do feel more mature, more confident, all of these things. And that's definitely attributed to him. It's just so weird to talk about... I feel awkward because I don't want to say anything that could be taken and misconstrued about him or about the breakup or any of it."
Paige DeSorbo says Craig Conover was the "best boyfriend"
"He's definitely the best boyfriend I've ever had," Paige continued on the podcast. "Like, I can truly say that. He was a great boyfriend, and he did everything correct. He never made me feel insecure or anything like that. So, it almost is harder when nobody's done anything to be mad about. And that's hard."
Paige acknowledged that it wasn't always easy to have such a public relationship (the couple highlighted their romance on both of their respective shows, and on Winter House).
"It's not for the weak," the fashion contributor said about dating someone on TV. "And I think the reason why I was so nervous to say it is I try to live my life and be like, 'I don't care what people think about me.' And that's just not true. I care a freaking lot. So don't get down on yourself when people are like, 'You care too much [about] what people think. Like, sorry. It's human nature. I want people to feel good about me and like me."
Why did Paige DeSorbo and Craig Conover break up?
The New York City resident admitted that the now-exes broke up because they were simply moving in different directions in their lives.
"I want to feel like I'm being vulnerable and authentic, specifically to the Gigglers, but I also want to be classy about it and say everything in the correct way, because I don't want things to be misconstrued that we hate each other, or something happened, or whatever," Paige said on Giggly Squad. "It's really just two people growing and changing and things that they want in their lives changing."
