Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs are still feeling the sting of their blowout Super Bowl loss against the Philadelphia Eagles. Their opportunity to three-peat was denied, but the work has already begun on getting back to the big game in 2025.
So far this offseason, the Chiefs have been busy. They were able to keep some of their own talent and add a couple of outside pieces as well.
Among the most notable moves for Kansas City were re-signing Trey Smith and Nick Bolton. The front office also brought in offensive tackle Jaylon Moore, running back Elijah Mitchell, cornerback Kristian Fulton, quarterback Gardner Minshew, and defensive tackle Jerry Tillery.
While the team looks to be a top-tier contender once again in 2025, one NFL analyst does not believe that to be the case.

Fox Sports analyst Jason McIntyre has predicted that Mahomes and the Chiefs won't even be a playoff team in 2025.
"I don't think the Kansas City Chiefs are a playoff team next year," McIntyre said bluntly.
In recent years, there have been plenty of predictions like this. Kansas City has been doubted and predicted against before. Mahomes and company have always found ways to prove those predictions wrong.
Speaking of Mahomes, the 29-year-old superstar is coming off of a solid, but not amazing season. He completed 67.5 percent of his pass attempts for 3,928 yards, 26 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions.
Mahomes will be looking to put together a stronger season in 2025. He also could be preparing to play his final season with star tight end Travis Kelce.
Kelce decided to come back for at least one more year, but retirement will come calling soon. Making one last run to a Super Bowl win would be a great way to ride off into the sunset for one of the most productive tight ends in NFL history.
Only time will tell, but betting against the Chiefs has not been a wise decision in recent years. Kansas City will be looking to make a statement to all of their doubters once again in 2025.
With the 2025 NFL Draft right around the corner, the Chiefs will also have a chance to bring in a fresh crop of young talent. Kansas City has drafted well in recent years to help keep its championship aspirations alive and will look to do the same in just under two weeks when the draft gets underway on April 24.
