After becoming the first team in 20 years to win back-to-back championships, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and Co. look to become the first franchise to ever win a Super Bowl three-peat.
Mahomes went off against the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship Game, completing 18-of-26 passes for 245 yards and a touchdown, along with 11 carries for 43 yards and two ruching scores.
The three-time Super Bowl MVP credited the entire team for their success this year. "The fact that it's been everybody, it's not just offense, it's not just defense, it's everybody on the entire team, it is something I'll remember this season by and hopefully we can do it the right way and get this final win," he told reporters.
While the 29-year-old quarterback prepares to take on the Philadelphia Eagles at the Superdome in New Orleans, Mahomes' half-brother, Graham Walker, made a major announcement.
Walker and Equity Sports post revealed he declared for the 2025 NFL Draft. They posted on Instagram, "Generational Recess Athlete, now taking over the gridiron. @_itsinstagraham is a tight end you can’t ignore.
" 2023 Frederick “Fritz” Pollard ‘19 Award All-Ivy (Phil Steele) Third Team (2023), Fourth Team (2022) Welcome to our 2025 NFL Draft Class!"
The 6-foot-3, 227-pounder spent the first three seasons of his collegiate career playing tight end at Brown University, where he racked up 127 catches, 1,496 receiving yards, and 16 touchdowns. Walker registered 24 receptions for 224 yards in his only season with Owls.
Walker's father is Pat Mahomes Sr., but he was raised by his mother, Jessamyn Walker, and stepdad, Gerry Howatt. Mahomes Sr., who formed a relationship with Walker later in life, celebrated his NFL announcement. "That’s my boy. Let’s get it," he commented."
The former MLB pitcher told Fox 4 of his son in Jan. 2024, "They say he’s the one who looks most like me but maybe the other boys will disagree a little bit, but he’s definitely a Mahomes. He’s a little bit more laid back than the others. Stays away from the spotlight and goes out and grinds and works. But a very impressive young man.”
"His manners are intact, his stepdad did a great job with him, his mom did a great job with him and now I’m getting the chance to put my hands on him a little more."
Mahomes Sr. said his eldest son Patrick is "supportive as he always is" regarding Walker's football career.
