NFL players are on tight schedules throughout the regular season. But despite that, some have mastered the art of squeezing time for their family and loved ones. This includes Kansas City Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes who recently opened up about it.
During an interview with PEOPLE on Friday, the quarterback said that he uses FaceTime to stay connected with his family. FaceTime has proven to be an effective medium for Mahomes to not miss out on precious moments with wife Brittany and kids Sterling and Bronze.
“It makes the distance feel a little smaller when I’m on the road," Mahomes said.
On Monday, Brittany shared some snaps from Patrick Mahomes' 29th birthday celebration with family and friends. While Brittany penned down a sweet message, his mother Randi shared adorable throwback pictures for his special day.
Mahomes and his wife have been together for more than a decade and have helped each other become better versions of themselves. During an appearance on the "WHOOP" podcast in August, Brittany revealed how his husband helped her transform into a more confident individual.
Patrick Mahomes' life-changing advice to Brittany Mahomes
Brittany Mahomes sat in a podcast interview with "WHOOP," where she opened up about her life with the three-time Super Bowl champion. The co-owner of the KC Current revealed his one piece of advice that helped her become more confident.
"[6:05] The main thing that you know he always told me is 'stop caring about what people think, especially the people that don't even know you,'" Brittany said. "And so I think social media used to get to me a lot, and now I don't give a fu*k what people have to say about me anymore."
"I think he's helped me get to that point where I'm strong in who I am. I'm confident in who I am. I'm confident in mine and his relationship. And I'm confident in our life. So why does what other people say have to matter at all."
Brittany then recalled how Patrick Mahomes acted "corny" during his Valentine's Day proposal. She also opened up about his unseen side as the Chiefs' leader.
