Peta Murgatroyd Teases ‘DWTS’ Season 34 Return: ‘Ready to Go Back’

Will Peta Murgatroyd be back as a pro on “Dancing With the Stars” season 34? She’s open to the idea, but it remains to be seen if she’ll be part of the pro dancer cast. Murgatroyd has been on 15 seasons of “DWTS” and won twice — and fans would love to see her return!

Peta Murgatroyd Says She’s ‘Ready’ for a ‘DWTS’ Return

In a June 2025 interview with Us Weekly, Murgatroyd discussed a possible return to “DWTS” after being away to spend time with her family.

The dance pro welcomed her third child last year and wasn’t ready to hit the “DWTS” season 33 dance floor, but says she feels like she’s up for the challenge now.

“Right now, I do feel like I have a bit of a weight lifted off my shoulders,” she said. “I’ve gotten through that first, you know, newborn stage again. So I feel like I would be ready to go back.”

Murgatroyd continued, “I love the show. I love what it’s about. I love training people [and] teaching them how to dance. I love the performance aspect of it.”

She confirmed, “So, yes, if they did come to me and want me back, I would say yes.”

Peta Murgatroyd Says She Misses Being on ‘DWTS’

On June 5, Murgatroyd took to Instagram for a “Chit Chat GRWM” video, in which she wore her “Dancing With the Stars” personalized robe while applying makeup.

“Makes me feel like I am back in the trailers … I very much miss being on that show,” she shared.

Murgatroyd continued, “I miss performing, I miss being there, and I miss my friends — they’re literally like family to me. Sometimes I just reminisce on ‘Dancing With the Stars’ days and partners and which season I would love to redo … or just have that same experience all over again because it was so amazing.”

She added, “Winning ‘Dancing With the Stars’ is such a rush. It’s such a high. It’s so amazing.”

Fans flooded her post with comments, hoping she was hinting at a return to the show.

“Ummmm was this a possible returning to ‘DWTS’ announcement?! I got so excited for a minute there,” one fan wrote.

Other fan comments included, “Please please please be on the next season” and “It would be amazing to see you back!”

Another one of her followers wrote, “We’re ready for the big announcement!”
