With the 2024 NFL season coming up quickly, the Philadelphia Eagles are going to be a very interesting team to watch. After a brutal collapse late in 2023 that culminated with a Wild Card loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Eagles are looking to get back on track. Howie Roseman and the front office have left no stone unturned this offseason as they look to get back to Super Bowl contention.
Losing Jason Kelce and Fletcher Cox to retirement was a tough blow for the Eagles, but they added a ton of talent. They also changed up their coaching staff, adding Kellen Moore as offensive coordinator and Vic Fangio as defensive coordinator.
Things have been changed following the disappointment from last season. It also appears that head coach Nick Sirianni is on the hot seat heading into 2024.
All of that being said, the Philadelphia Eagles have received a massive prediction for their record in 2024 from Sports Illustrated.
Philadelphia Eagles Receive Huge Record Prediction For The 2024 Season
Gilbert Manzano of Sports Illustrated has revealed his predictions for team records in the NFC. His prediction for the Eagles is that they finish the year with a 12-5 record. That would be enough to get Philadelphia into the playoffs and give them a shot at a deep postseason run.
“The Eagles don’t have to deal with a first-place schedule because of their second-half collapse last season. But their schedule won’t be easy, with tough road games against the Rams, Ravens and Bengals. They also have to host the Browns, Packers and Steelers for difficult non-divisional games. But Philadelphia revamped its defense after drafting defensive backs Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean and added another offensive playmaker in running back Saquon Barkley. Don’t be surprised if the Eagles return to the Super Bowl after a sluggish ending to the 2023 season.”
In the last sentence of his predictions for the Eagles, he boldly stated that he wouldn’t be surprised if the Eagles return to the Super Bowl. That is the one and only goal for the 2024 season.
Looking at the Philadelphia Eagles’ roster, there is no reason why they should be that good.
Jalen Hurts is still one of the most talented quarterbacks in the NFL. They have both A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith locked in on long-term extensions and they signed star running back Saquon Barkley in free agency. Defensively, the Eagles are absolutely loaded with talent.
Roseman has done his job. He has given the coaching staff enough talent to win at the highest level.
It will be interesting to see what Nick Sirianni and the Philadelphia Eagles’ coaching staff can do with all of the talent. The players need to take care of business as well, but there are absolutely no excuses for anyone to not win this season in Philly.
