Tom Sandoval has always had a bit of a wild side to him. The Vanderpump Rules alum isn't afraid to get on stage and perform his heart out with his band, Tom Sandoval and the Most Extras, or really be himself when doing a challenge on The Traitors Season 3. But even before Tom graced our television screens, these photos of him when he was younger are proof that he has always had an extreme side to him.
Tom is quite familiar with the entertainment industry, as he is currently performing with his band and has acted in a few movie and TV roles. But, he isn't afraid to be active, too. Tom certainly took a leap of faith when he moved from his hometown of Saint Louis, Missouri, to Los Angeles to pursue his future career.
But he also took a literal leap of faith when he went sky diving out of an airplane many, many years ago. In the photo below, Tom can be seen with his hair braided, free-falling in the sky while attached to a flight instructor, and then smiling once he was back on the ground.

In 2019, Tom opened up about his fitness routine to The Daily Dish, noting that he enjoys "having a really good cardio sweat session" before he attends a big event, in addition to hitting the gym regularly. Another secret? Getting "12 hours of sleep" in to look his best.
Tom has carried over his love for being active from his childhood. The following photos show just how much fun he had being on his feet as a kid — whether he was balancing on a very trendy PogoBal, or playing baseball as a child.
Tom Sandoval's younger years sparked his music career
Music is a huge part of Tom's life today, and was when he was younger, too. There are many photos of Tom as a kid playing music, showing that he was always destined for the stage.
Tom's mom, Terri Sandoval, once recalled how Tom told her that he wanted to be in his school's talent show when he was in the third grade. "He goes, 'I'm going to dance and lip sync and stuff.' There were 25 acts: 24 were girls, and then Tom," she said. "He stole the freaking show and took first place."

But before he explored his love of music in LA, Tom began his career as a model. Although he is used to being dressed up, he's always had a very keen personal sense of style, sporting so many different hair cuts and colors over the years. Just look at those super trendy frosted tips, longer hair, and sleek bob.
