While the team should focus on getting a quarterback, it'll be difficult for them to draft one with their current position in the first round. In the latest mock draft, Las Vegas instead drafts a wide receiver, who has been considered one of the best coming into the draft.

According to "The 33rd Team", the Raiders will select wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan with the eighth pick of the draft. McMillan, who was on a struggling Arizona Wildcats team in 2024, could be the true number one wideout Las Vegas is looking for.

McMillan amounted to 1,319 receiving yards and eight touchdowns with Arizona, which ranks third in all of college football. Even though the Raiders need to draft a quarterback, it is unrealistic they will be able to do so unless they make a blockbuster trade with another team ahead of them in the order.

However, the wide receiver position also needs to be addressed for Las Vegas' offense, and drafting McMillan would solidify a strong corps and likely a true number one. McMillan, Jakobi Meyers, and Brock Bowers as optional targets could be a dangerous trio, but the team would still likely need to snag a quarterback in free agency if they cannot draft one.
