RHOA's Phaedra Parks Has New Career Ambitions - EntertainmentNow

“Married to Medicine” star Heavenly Kimes recently announced her plan to run for Georgia House District 93. As it turns out, she is not the only Bravolebrity with an interest in politics. Phaedra Parks of the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” recently sat for an interview on “The View” and expressed her political ambitions.

The reality star admitted that she believed early on that a political office was in her future. “My favorite thing is politics. I always thought I was going to be the insurance commissioner because Geico put me through undergrad and law school. So, I just knew I was going to be the insurance commissioner,” she explained.

Phaedra is one of the busiest women featured in a Bravo series, as she juggles three successful careers simultaneously. She discussed her early aspirations to be an insurance commissioner and her continued interest in politics on “The View” earlier this week.

“Obviously, that didn’t happen. But I love politics. That’s why I love this show. And when you see stuff like the Big Beautiful Bill and Medicaid and all these things that affect the most vulnerable in our society being passed, I feel like I almost have a duty at some point to, you know, seek office,” explains Phaedra.

Phaedra Is Already an attorney and a Mortician

The RHOA star is already a high-powered attorney, and she owns one of the most successful funeral homes in Atlanta. Years ago, fans of the reality series watched as Phaedra transitioned into the world of mortuary science and learned how to prepare people for their final homecoming. The idea of her switching lanes again and stepping into a political role doesn’t seem that far from the realm of possibility.

Phaedra enjoyed her time on “The View” and took to Instagram to share a carousel of snaps from her interview.

“It gave clueless but in reality she was laser focused on #TheView. Manifested this #best time ever. Thank you @theviewabc,” she captioned her post.

Earlier this month, “Married to Medicine” star Dr. Heavenly Kimes announced her plans to run for Georgia House District 93, which covers parts of Lithonia, Stone Mountain, Decatur, and Stonecrest. She had her first campaign rally on July 9, 2025. Perhaps watching Dr. Heavenly in motion has lit a fire under Phaedra to pursue the role she has always wanted to play in her Atlanta community.
