RHOBH's Teddi Mellencamp & Erika Jayne Slam Aaron Phypers as "Gross" Amid Divorce From Denise, Plus Teddi Talks Split From Boyfriend Ricci Rea

As the 44-year-old Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum confirmed her split from her boyfriend, TV producer Ricci Rea, whom she first went public with last month, she and Erika, 54, reacted to Aaron, 49, requesting spousal support from Denise, 54, while also commenting on his failure to claim her daughter, 14-year-old Eloise, as his own.

“Did you see the other ones that bit the dust?” Teddi, 44, asked Erika, 54, on the July 11 episode of Diamonds in the Rough, via Page Six, signaling Denise and Aaron’s breakup.

Teddi then mentioned a comment Denise had made on her since-canceled reality show, Denise Richards & Her Wild Things.

“She said … that she would never believe in divorce. There’s no chance that divorce could ever happen. She’s no divorce, no divorce, never have one. And then … he f*cking filed on July 4th,” she explained as she and Erika agreed Aaron was never their “favorite person.”

“He’s asking her for spousal support,” Erika noted.

“[He wants] a lot,” Teddi replied.

According to Erika, Denise is a “working mom” of three girls, including Sami Sheen, 21, Lola Sheen, 20, and Eloise, and she’s disappointed with Aaron’s approach.

“Come on, man. Don’t do this,” Erika begged Aaron, adding that he “should not be asking for spousal support.”

Meanwhile, Teddi said she was shocked to learn that Aaron did not claim Eloise, especially since he and Denise “told us he [adopted the child]” and Eloise had been living with them since they wed in September 2018.

“[I] thought he had adopted Eloise,” Erika admitted, describing Aaron’s decision to leave Eloise out of his filing as an “interesting” move.

“What a d*ckwad,” Teddi shared. “It’s because he doesn’t ever wanna have to pay [Denise] anything.”

Both Teddi and Erika said they wanted “gross” Aaron to “leave [Denise] the f*ck alone.”

“You’re gross, douchelord. Sorry. Very few men do I despise as much as that guy. He’s easy to despise,” Teddi concluded.

On the same podcast episode, via PEOPLE, Teddi confirmed she “had to call things off” with Ricci as she refocused her attention on her battle with brain and lung cancer.

“Right now, it started getting to the point where it’s starting to get a little bit more serious. I was like, ‘I don’t have the capacity for this right now,’” Teddi explained. “He’s a really nice guy, couldn’t be a nicer guy.”

Although she acknowledged that the “timing sucks,” Teddi noted that she doesn’t “feel [her] best” and “[wants] to rest” when she has downtime.

“I’ve had to make it clear to people I’ve dated [that] this is where I am. This is what I’ve got,” she reasoned. “If it’s enough for you, great. If it’s not enough, I won’t be upset. I mean, yes, my feelings will probably be hurt, but this is all I’ve got to give. And if that’s enough, great.”

“If for some reason you realize you need somebody that doesn’t have three kids, 1 million activities to do, 87 podcasts, you want more time than I’m able to give?” she continued. “I would not be mad at you for not even a second. He’s like, ‘I am willing to do anything to be able to spend time with you.’”

“I haven’t had to say any of those things, but he is really sweet and kind,” Teddi added.

Teddi also revealed that by the time her new romance made headlines, she and Ricci had already broken up.

“[The] press needs to get on it a little bit faster because by the time they figured out who my mystery man was, we’re already done. I had to call things off,” she shared.
