Teddi Mellencamp offered an emotional update on her Instagram page on Thursday, confirming that doctors found more tumors on her brain and lung following a recent CAT scan.
As she teased her potential return to her shared podcast with Tamra Judge, 57, the 43-year-old Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum said that despite her ongoing health battle, she was “feeling positive” as she prepared to undergo radiation and immunotherapy.
“Update from my scans today: I have multiple tumors in my brain that weren’t able to be removed via surgery. I also have 2 tumors in my lung. These are all metastases of my melanoma,” Teddi explained on March 6. “The doctors are hopeful that immunotherapy will effectively treat them.”
“I am feeling positive— that I will win this battle, that I got this wig (I like the short hair, just not the bald spots), and that I can remember all of Angelina’s kids’ names,” she continued. “Now, as [Andy Cohen] would say: with all due… f*** off, cancer!”
She then shared a similar message with her fans and followers on her Instagram Story.
In response to the update, Kyle Richards, 56, and Dorit Kemsley, 48, sent support.
“The best moment! Right after your surgery when you weren’t quite sure what year it was and I said, ‘But I bet she can name all of Angelina Jolie’s kids names’ and you did,” Kyle wrote, along with a couple of laughing emojis.
“You got this Teddi! You’re stronger than you realize. I know you’ll win! You’re a fighter, keep fighting… you have a lot of love and support,” shared Dorit.
“You are gonna kick [cancer’s] a**, you are the strongest person I know … Cancer FUK all the way off!!!!” agreed Tamra.
“Sending love,” added Julia Lemigova, 52, of The Real Housewives of Miami.
As for when she’ll be back on her and Tamra’s Two Ts in a Pod podcast, Teddi responded with a video.
“Twots! Missing the twot life,” she wrote in the caption of the clip, which mentioned both Tamra and Erika Jayne, 53, her Diamonds in the Rough podcast co-host.
“I’m seeing all your messages asking when I’m going back to the pod. I don’t actually know. I would assume next week, but I’m listening to what the doctors and my bosses think is best for my brain,” Teddi explained. “I think when you have four brain tumors and then you have to go through all these different things, you have to protect yourself. But, of course, I miss the pod. I miss chatting with Tam. I miss Erika. I miss laughing. I miss watching all those ridiculous shows.”
“I will be back, I just have to listen to my body and see when it’s the right time,” she added.
