Lydia McLaughlin is “devastated” after her brother was fatally shot by cops.

This tragic news comes just six months after the Real Housewives of Orange County alum’s mom Judy Stirling passed away.

According to TMZ, Lydia’s brother Geoffrey Shyam Stirling was shot to death by the police during a traffic stop in California.

Law enforcement sources tell the outlet that Geoffrey, 45,  was riding a motorcycle on the Pacific Coast Highway in Newport Beach when he was pulled over by cops on Thursday night.

The sources allege Geoffrey became uncooperative during the stop, leading to a confrontation in which at least one officer opened fire. He was then transported to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries. Authorities confirm that no officers were harmed during the incident.

The California Attorney General’s Office has since opened an independent investigation to review the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

In a statement to TMZ on Friday, Lydia, 43, expressed her grief: “My family and I are devastated by the loss of my brother. We are grateful for the outpouring of love and support from friends, family, and the community. We kindly ask for privacy as we mourn.”
