It’s nice to see Gina’s life moving in a positive direction. She’s got a booming real estate career and is finally successfully co-parenting with her ex-husband. And although the decision to live separately from Travis was difficult at first, they are in a good space again.

Gina’s sobriety has also brought a major positive change to her life. US Weekly reported on how this decision has improved things for her. Gina said, “Honestly … coming up on three years sober … That is the most incredible change and shift and edit I’ve ever made to my life. I fully recommend it to everyone.”

And Gina wants to encourage others to take the leap. She said, “Because I feel the way I feel, and how much positivity that has come into my life since I made the decision to stop drinking. I would love to share that with other people and just say, ‘Look, if you’re thinking about stopping drinking, do it. It will literally change your life for the better in every way.’”

This life change originally came about when Gina realized she was using alcohol as a coping mechanism. Gina shared, “Turns out when you stop poisoning yourself, good things happen. Honestly … it made me have to deal with some of the stuff that I think I was avoiding.”

Gina added, “Then it was just the pure toxicity of what I was putting into my body that was a huge edit shift, and then processing out all that trauma that I was trying to avoid. The combination of the two things has just been life-changing for me.”

Real Housewives of Orange County airs Thursdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
