RHONJ’s Kathy Wakile Suggests Melissa is a “Sell-Out” & Hints Teresa Reconciliation Was for Show as She Claims She Was “Pushed Out” of Cast, Plus Talks Possible Return, & Update on Rosie and Kids

Kathy Wakile reflected on her experience with Melissa Gorga and Teresa Giudice on The Real Housewives of New Jersey while appearing on a radio show last week.

RHONJ's Kathy Wakile Suggests Melissa is a "Sell-Out" & Hints Teresa Reconciliation Was for Show as She Claims She Was "Pushed Out" of Cast, Plus Talks Possible Return, & Update on Rosie and Kids

As she suggested she was pushed off the series by a potential pact made between the sisters-in-law, refuted claims of moving into Melissa, 45, and Joe Gorga‘s neighborhood, and offered an update on her sister, Rosie Pierri, 56, Kathy, 59, addressed a potential series return, described the show as “really dirty,” spoke of her two kids, and more.

“I was brought on at the same time Melissa was brought on. We were together all the time before the show, and then I kind of got thrown into being like a side, and I never liked to take sides,” Kathy explained on the April 23 episode of SiriusXM’s Page Six Radio. “I got thrown on Joe and Melissa’s camp and I stuck my neck out for them, and I only wanted to reason with Teresa, I never wanted to fight with her because we grew up together.”

While Kathy had good intentions when she joined the RHONJ cast in 2011 for season three, “misinterpretations” and “a lack of good communication” led to drama between her and her two cousins, Melissa and Teresa, 52.

“I was pushed out, and that was completely fine with me. Listen, brother and sister should always reconcile, should always put their differences aside, and that was my aim,” she explained. “But there was never a conversation.”

After a reconciliation between Melissa and Teresa, Kathy ventured to Melissa’s house, where she felt that Melissa had turned on her.

“She was just like, ‘Stop. You have to stop talking about my sister-in-law.’ Meanwhile, I’ve been listening to you complain about your sister-in-law for like 10 years,” she recalled. “It was just strange … There must’ve been an interior conversation between them, ‘Let’s reconcile, push her out.’”

According to Kathy, she suspected Melissa reconciled with Teresa for the sake of their roles on the show.

“Was it that they were making an alliance to stay on the show? ‘This is the only way you’re gonna stay on the show is if you take my side and push Kathy out,’” she suggested. “We were like, boom, going from speaking every single day multiple times to nothing at all, and it was like … sell-out.”

Not only does Kathy seem to believe Melissa was a “sell-out,” but she also suspects she never truly wanted to make amends with Teresa.

“I think when you do things for reasons other than authenticity, it ends up biting you, and I don’t wish that on them. I wish they would reconcile because that’s important, and it’s only the two of them. But I think when your motives are based on something that isn’t true and authentic and heartfelt, some things fall to the wayside. Your ego will always get in the way,” Kathy noted.

After her falling out with Melissa, Kathy said to herself, “I got your number. I see who you are, and now I can’t unsee it.”

Kathy then set the record straight about the new home she purchased with husband Richard “Richie” Wakile.

“To be clear, it’s not directly across the street [from Melissa and Joe]. It’s diagonal down the street a bit [and] we lived in the neighborhood already for the last 10 years,” she clarified. “So they moved to our neighborhood.”

After walking by the property for years and hoping to find something on the lake, Kathy walked into the home and told Richie, “I don’t care what you have to do. This is our house.”

“And coincidentally, [Melissa and Joe] were bidding, we found out from a source, that they were bidding against us to get the house, and they weren’t really gonna buy it because they already just moved into their new house,” Kathy went on, adding that, “Our side is on the lake.”

Kathy also called out Melissa for publicly discussing her home’s whereabouts.

“She went on [Jeff Lewis‘ radio show] and told all about this house, and meanwhile, I wasn’t talking about it. It’s my business. Leave that alone,” she demanded.

Although Kathy made it clear that she’s “not gonna be someone’s storyline or their way back” into the show, she noted, amid her latest drama with Melissa, that she doesn’t “want to be enemies with anyone, at all.”

In addition to Melissa publicly speaking of her home before she made it public, Kathy called out Melissa for lying about her hopes to reconcile, stating that they already had when Melissa appeared on Jeff Lewis Live and suggested she had plans to do so. Meanwhile, Melissa insisted she was simply adhering to Kathy’s request to keep their meeting private.

When Kathy was then asked if she would ever return to RHONJ, she asked, “Is there a show?”

“What I’m hearing is not … for this long of a hiatus, that hasn’t happened in a very long time,” she explained. “[But] I don’t even identify what it was, what it became. When I was on, it felt, there were moments that didn’t feel good, of course, but it felt good, and it felt like it was really focused on family. Now it’s changed.”

As for when the show shifted, Kathy said, “I think when it got really dirty.”

“You have conflicts in every family. In every friend group, you have a conflict, but in real life, there’s either a resolution, which we hope for and strive for, or if there isn’t a resolution and there cannot be a resolution, then you go your separate ways and I feel like that’s where they’re at,” she reasoned. “That’s where it got really bad because it was the same thing over and over.”

Moving on to family, Kathy said Rosie is “doing amazing.”

“She’s so slim and she’s doing really, really well. Her company is like skyrocketing,” she shared.

As for daughter Victoria Wakile, 31, Kathy said she’s been married for four years, and she revealed her son, Joseph Wakile, 29, is living in NYC and traveling for his job.

“They’re grown-ups. I’m so proud of them,” Kathy gushed.

Also on the episode, after noting that her pizza shop, Pizza Love in Wyckoff, New Jersey, boasts a “very extensive menu,” Kathy confirmed she’s documenting the renovations she’s been doing to her new home.

“I want to do before and after photos,” she shared. “I’m gonna be working alongside Dan D’Agostino, my architect, to do a whole story behind it because there’s just so many aspects. Every part of the home we did and planned it out together with attention, and he took whatever vision and ideas I had and blew my mind.”

“I’m really proud of where we’re going with it. It has an old-world feel to it, it’s inspired by our travels along the Mediterranean. So we brought that, but it’s functional to the modern world and to our lifestyle,” she added.
