RHOP Alum Candiace Dillard Bassett Unfollows RHOA’s Porsha Williams After Filming The Traitors

Trouble in the castle? Fresh out of filming Season 4 of The Traitors, Real Housewives of Potomac alum Candiace Dillard Bassett unfollowed Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams. If this is any indicator of what’s to come next season, we’re shaking. Physically shaking.

Porsha and Candiace are among the five Housewives set to appear on the upcoming season of The Traitors. Despite being from two different cities, the two have had a strained relationship over the years.

Their drama started after Candiace’s tussle with Monique Samuels on RHOP Season 5. Porsha sided with Monique during several episodes of Bravo’s Chat Room. Remember that show? Specifically, Porsha made shady comments about Candiace’s legal complaint against Monique.

“She [Monique] felt like the whole reason Candiace was suing her was to pay for her mom’s house,” Porsha said in one episode of the show. “She was suing because it was a money grab.”

Of course, Candiace didn’t appreciate the comments, and their drama wound up spilling into Season 3 of Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip. Miraculously, they found common ground by the end of the trip. Candiace even scored an invite to Porsha’s ill-fated wedding to Simon Guobadia.

So, did something happen in the Traitors’ castle that caused a rift in their relationship? Probably. It is, however, worth pointing out that Porsha commented on her relationship with Candiace during the RHOA Season 16 reunion. Andy asked the ladies to name their closest Bravo friends outside of Atlanta. Porsha said hers was Gizelle Bryant, and she noted that she “lost touch’ with Candiace.

That comment predated the filming of Season 4 of The Traitors, so if Porsha went into the game feeling disconnected from Candiace, there’s no telling what could have happened between them. A backstabbing? A murder? Time will tell.
