RHOP’s Ashley Darby Admits She “Cried Like a Baby” Over Karen Huger’s Jail Time as Wendy Osefo Says She’s at a “Loss for Words,” Teases Reunion Receipts and Who She Wants on Show

Fans of The Real Housewives of Potomac are still coping with the fact that Karen Huger will spend time behind bars. It seems her castmates are also doing the same. Ashley Darby and Wendy Osefo recently expressed shock over the news that the Grand Dame will not be available to film for next season.

Karen was sentenced on February 26 after being found guilty of multiple charges related to driving while under the influence. Going into it, many had accepted that she would get some jail time, but the fanbase is reeling over her getting sentenced to two years with one suspended. In other words, Karen will be in jail for one year. 

Recently, Ashley appeared on the Tamron Hall Show, where she was set to discuss her long-awaited divorce from Michael Darby. However, Tamron also asked for her reaction to Karen’s sentencing. The RHOP OG said, “I really do encourage everyone to keep Karen in your prayers.”

She continued, “I really care about her, and I learned this on the train coming here today, and I cried like a baby.”

Wendy also reacted to the news in an interview with Extra TV. The educator turned reality television star said, “I think we were all shocked. You know, even though we knew that the sentencing date was coming, even though we’ve all seen the body cam footage, we did not think that this would be our reality, which is waking up today and Karen is behind bars. That doesn’t seem real, and I’m still trying to digest it right now.”

Wendy went on, “I still find myself at a loss for words.”

Wendy said she hasn’t spoken to Karen since the sentencing as they took her into custody right away. However, she also shared, “I’m sure this is a difficult time, not just for her but for her family, so all I can do is just uplift her in prayer and wish her the best.”

When asked about the reunion, she teased, “You can expect some receipts to come out, unexpected receipts. You can expect some new information. You can expect for your jaw to be dropped. It’s a lot, yeah.”

Wendy also gave insight into who she would like to see join the show. Of course, she was being playful with her suggestions, as one of them is a bit of a lofty goal. According to her, “I’m a political girl, you know, I’m into politics in the D.C. area, so I would love to have, like, Omarosa or even, hey, Kamala Harris! Kamala, hey girl! Hey, former VP! Are you free? We need you!”
