Simone Biles laced up her dancing shoes while reuniting with former Dancing With the Stars partner Sasha Farber.
In a Saturday, April 5, Instagram carousel, Farber, 40, shared a selfie of the pair and another image of him and Biles, 28, smiling at the camera while in frame. Biles reposted the upload to her Instagram Story on Saturday.
“Love our catch up’s !!!!! And look at that frame, still got it !!!!!” Farber wrote via Instagram on Saturday, April 5.
The pair were also all smiles as they tried their hand at a TikTok dance. “This was fun !!!” Farber captioned his Saturday post.
The Olympic gymnast and pro dancer competed on season 24 of DWTS, which aired in 2017. The duo ultimately finished in fourth place. (Rashad Jennings and Emma Slater took home the now renamed Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy, which honors the late judge who died in 2023 after battling bone cancer.)
After her elimination, Biles opened up exclusively to Us Weekly about her experience on the reality competition show.
“I think it’s just bringing out the emotional side because I’ve never had to do that before. If I was emotional, it was behind closed doors. But this is in front of all of America,” she said. “It’s a bit scary.”
Biles noted that putting herself out there for millions of viewers to watch was challenging for her at times.
“Yeah, sometimes it is hard, but you try not to think of it,” Biles told Us. “But sometimes you go back to what you’re used to and muscle memory and not showing [emotion]. That gets you.”
While on the show, Biles famously clapped back at former host Tom Bergeron after he commented on her lack of smiling as she received feedback from the judges. Biles replied, “Smiling doesn’t win you gold medals.”
Years later, Bergeron, 69, reflected on the incident and claimed that a DWTS producer said in his ear, “Wow, she’s not even smiling at Carrie Ann [Inaba]’s compliments.”
“I was so properly put in my place,” Bergeron said of the moment during an October 2023 appearance on Cheryl Burke’s “Sex, Lies and Spray Tans” podcast, adding that Biles went on to have a T-shirt made with the quote.
“I stood next to her looking very sheepish while she wore that wonderful shirt and we put that on social media and everything,” he continued. “But that was one time when I wished I had taken a beat, translated what I heard in my ear and put it in my own words.”
