Shannon Beador is no stranger to drama, but in a recent interview, the Real Housewives of Orange County star shed light on her complicated relationship with fellow housewife Tamra Judge, as well as her ongoing issues with Katie Ginella. Reflecting on the ups and downs, Shannon discussed her thoughts on toxic friendships, her controversial comments, and the potential for her daughters, Sophie and Adeline, to join Next Gen NYC.
Shannon and Tamra: A Friendship Full of Ebs and Flows
In an interview with Decider, Shannon opened up about the rollercoaster friendship she has had with Tamra. The two women, who were once part of the iconic “Tres Amigas,” have had their share of fallouts, but Shannon emphasized that things are improving—albeit with boundaries.
“It was important for me that [Tamra and I] got to a place where we could be OK together, because there was so much tension that all the girls felt last season, with both Tamra and Alexis and I,” Shannon said. “I didn’t want to be the cause of that anymore. We get to a point … But we have our ebbs and flows, ups and downs.”
Despite their occasional reconciliations, Shannon is cautious about diving back into a deep friendship with Tamra. “We had a toxic friendship. So, we can be in a room, we can laugh together, even. But I’m not willing to go right back into a friendship. I don’t want to go there right now,” she added.
Shannon's Controversial Comments: Eddie Judge and Katie Ginella
Shannon also revisited the infamous moment when she made the comment about Eddie Judge’s “small d*ck energy” on Watch What Happens Live. When asked about her reasoning, Shannon explained it came after Eddie’s harsh words about her.
“He hasn’t said a lot of kind things about me in the last few years,” Shannon admitted. “So, of course, I chose Eddie. He said some negative things about me. Oh, the wrath that I received for that.”
As for her comment about Katie Ginella being “worse” than both Alexis Bellino and Tamra, Shannon reflected, “You might hear me say they’re equals in the future. It might’ve been a little reactionary.”
Katie Ginella: The Recording Incident That Shocked Shannon
One of the most shocking moments for Shannon was learning that Katie had recorded her during a vulnerable time. "I was really in a dark place after London, because it had been a lot, emotionally, to go through,” Shannon recalled. “For her to, literally, two days after we got back from London, pull out a phone to record me… None of it adds up to me.”
Shannon didn’t mince words when it came to how she felt about the situation. "Recording someone has only negative intent. There was no good intention behind her doing that towards me," she said.
Family Dynamics: Sophie and Adeline’s Potential Role in Next Gen NYC
With Next Gen NYC gaining momentum, fans have expressed interest in seeing Shannon's daughters, Sophie and Adeline, join the show. While Shannon admits she’s been asked about it, she remains unsure about their involvement.
“People have been messaging Sophie about that. I don’t know. Sophie has a job. She just celebrated her one-year mark at her job here in New York City, so I’m really proud of her. And Adeline’s in school, so who knows?” Shannon said. “I mean, they haven’t been asked.”
Shannon’s Love Life: No Boyfriends, Just “A Few Kisses”
In the interview, Shannon also touched on her current love life. After the emotional fallout from her relationship in Season 19, Shannon confessed that she has “kissed just a few men” but is taking a break from dating.
“After the Love Hotel, I just don’t want to date right now. It was hard for me to accept that it was another failure, so I just don’t want to get hurt again right now,” she shared
