Shep Rose won't exactly miss costar Jarrett "JT" Thomas.
In fact, after JT shocked Southern Charm fans by announcing he's leaving the Bravo reality series before filming on season 10 is finished, Shep gave an epic reaction to his former cast mate's decision to walk away.
"I can’t believe, sorry JT, I can’t believe it’s all that newsworthy," he exclusively told E! News correspondent Daryn Carp during Bravo's Fan Fest in Miami Nov. 23. "I mean, he’s a nice fellow. Honestly he held Austen [Kroll] to task last season and Austen hates that. But we wouldn’t have found out certain things if it wasn’t for JT. So a little thank you to JT, but we’ve lost way bigger players in the past."
Shep hinted that JT's choice might make more sense after fans watch the upcoming season.
"He just was a little bizarre," the 44-year-old continued. "You’ll see this season. I don’t think he was right and needed to sort some things out."
Earlier this month, JT shared the news with fans on social media.
"It comes with a heavy heard to share that I have resigned from Southern Charm," the Charleston native wrote on Instagram Nov. 8. "Yesterday I informed Bravo that I will not be participating in the 2-3 remaining green room interviews remaining before szn airs 12/5 (I've done about ~9 thus far leading up to today) and that I no longer wish to participate in any ways moving forward with the TV show."
JT—who joined the show as a full-time cast member in season nine—hinted at major drama might be to blame for his exit.
"I will leave it at that," he concluded, "while I work on next steps to recover both physically and mentally from what has been an extremely challenging & exhausting year."
See the drama play out when Southern Charm returns Thursday, Dec. 5, at 9 p.m. on Bravo. Episodes will be available to stream the next day on Peacock.
