With a new season of Southern Charm underway, fans find themselves wondering how Kathryn Dennis has been doing.
In October 2023, it was reported that Kathryn had been involved in a hit-and-run near a school. Most recently, in May 2024, Kathryn was arrested and charged with driving under the influence after being involved in another collision.
Before this, in February 2021, Kathryn lost custody of her children, with a judge making the ruling official in 2023. Since then, she has been working hard to regain her visitation rights.
Kathryn Dennis is putting family first
According to The U.S. Sun, Kathryn makes sure to see her children every chance she gets. Currently, the former Southern Charm star sees her two children during supervised visits every other weekend.
As followers will recall, Kathryn lost custody of Kensie and Saint in February 2023 after it was alleged that she was using drugs. A source close to the family told the outlet that Kathryn has been making strides and ensuring she makes time for her children.
Even though she had once struggled to make the supervised visits, “she sees them fairly regularly of late, although not as much as she’s allowed pursuant to the court order.”
The Insider claimed that “receiving more custody depends on her. She’s still oftentimes late, but if she gets it together, Thomas would love nothing more. The kids are doing great.”
In October 2023, the news outlet reported that Kathryn had gone months without seeing her children. At the time, the Bravo star hadn’t “paid for the supervisor. The last time she had a supervisor and picked them up was in April.” But Kathryn is working past her issues and putting her kids first, which is a good sign for the new year.
