Southern Charm Star Rodrigo Reyes Spills Intimate Details About JT and Venita

Southern Charm Recap: JT Thomas Denies Claims He Was Racist to Venita | Us Weekly

The drama surrounding “Southern Charm’s” Jarrrett “JT” Thomas and Venita Aspen has officially spilled off-screen, and Rodrigo Reyes is not holding back when it comes to sharing some pretty intimate details.

Fresh off his second season, Reyes is spilling all on off-camera hookups, messy makeouts, and even bodily mishaps, as he pulls back the curtain on their brief, confusing, and chaotic romance that ended in betrayal.

With JT now labeled a “homewrecker” enabler and Aspen publicly mourning the loss of a close friend, the tension is higher than ever. Here’s everything Reyes added to the drama between the “Southern Charm” relationship that never really was.

‘Southern Charm’s’ Rodrigo Reyes Spills All About JT & Venita’s Relationship

During a recent appearance on the So Bad It’s Good podcast, Reyes dropped bombshells about JT and Aspen’s behind-the-scenes fling—some of which never made it to air.

“They were definitely hanging out,” Reyes said. “Venita was, like, literally just so smitten it was disgusting.”

He claimed Aspen believed JT had her back, but Reyes wasn’t convinced. “She learned the hard way.”

According to Reyes, things got intimate quickly. “He was sending her pictures after they would make out, showing him with her makeup all over his face,” he said, adding it was JT’s way of flaunting their connection.

Reyes also revealed a bizarre incident during the season premiere en route to the Carolina Cup. JT, who was still healing from an ATV accident in Costa Rica, allegedly bled through his clothes and had multiple “pee stops” on the party bus. “He had to stop to pee … and you could see, like, a little dribble spot. I was like, ay, ay, ay,” Reyes shared.

Venita Aspen Says She Was Misled and Left Hurt By JT

While Reyes offered the behind-the-scenes tea, Aspen brought the emotion. In an interview with Us Weekly, she opened up about her failed relationship with JT and why she’s officially “done” with him.

“We started dating when I got back from New York in September,” she said. “It was from September, October, November… trying to figure out, ‘Are we doing this?’”

Aspen says she was blindsided in November 2024 when JT went Instagram-official with girlfriend Ali Pereless, without ever giving her a heads-up. “That’s how I found out,” she said. “It would’ve been nice to have him be like, ‘Hey, I’m seeing someone else.’ But he didn’t do that.”

Aspen also claimed JT’s girlfriend sent her hostile DMs after “Southern Charm” aired scenes out of order, painting her as a homewrecker. She cut contact for six months but still hoped for clarity during the reunion taping. It never came.

“I am mourning my best friend,” she admitted. “We used to shoot the (expletive). We would go golfing and have dinners… I lost all of that and it sucked.”

After the reunion, any remaining hope for reconciliation vanished. “Now the door’s completely shut. Closed and barred. Padlocked,” she declared. “I was willing to give him the chance to say, ‘I’m sorry.’ But once I saw him trying to make me out to be this liar… that says a lot about who he is.”

JT, for his part, posted on Instagram that “Southern Charm” had “basically shattered both relationships” without offering further explanation.
