Shep Rose revealed that fans will see a new side of his friendship with Craig Conover now that they’re both single.
Speaking with Decider in July 2025, Rose said Conover was “awesome” during filming for “Southern Charm” Season 11 after the two butted heads last season. “We’ve sort of just decided to put our swords down,” Rose told the outlet. “We’re never going to see eye to eye on anything, but there are certain things that we really enjoy about each other.”
“I try to be someone that he can talk to and confide in, and we do a little bit of that. But yeah, Craig is from another galaxy than I am,” he added. “So, we understand that, and we just live with it, and try to celebrate the fun times we have. But Craig’s phenomenal this season.”
“I think it was a very good season,” Rose said. “I mean, I think they’re all pretty good, honestly, but for some reason, this one, everyone agrees, has a lot of meat on the bone, so to speak. “
Shep Rose Says He’s Proud of Craig Conover

On the 10th season of “Southern Charm,” Rose was dating Sienna Evans while Conover was in a three-year relationship with Paige DeSorbo. Both relationships ended ahead of filming for Season 11. By the time “Southern Charm” filming started, Conover had been split from DeSorbo for several months.
Rose dropped some hints about Conover’s now-single story arc in an interview with Us Weekly. “I’m not going to speak for him, but he is coming off that breakup — very public breakup — [so] get ready,” Rose teased. “I was really proud of him coming out of the gates. I didn’t know what he was going to do because, and he’ll admit that when he was in his previous relationship, he sort of isolated himself a bit. ….And he did a fine job, I thought.”
“I’ve enjoyed seeing it, and he has my full support and also my empathy in a breakup situation,” Rose added. “I really think it’s going to be a fantastic season.”
Shep Rose Gave an Update on Former ‘Southern Charm’ Co-Stars

Rose also noted that fans won’t be seeing him in a romance situation like last season with Evans, who ended things with him on-camera during a cast trip to the Bahamas.
Fans also won’t see his ex, Taylor Ann Green, or Season 10 cast member JT Thomas, who both announced their exits from the Bravo reality show. Veteran cast member Leva Bonaparte also announced that she was stepping away from the show.
“I think that that was probably the right move,” Rose told Decider. “Taylor has her relationship and her set of friends. I don’t know. …I wish her all the best. If she needs anything, I doubt she’ll reach out, but hopefully one day we can look back and smile at the times we’ve had. “
As for Thomas, Rose teased that he saw him when the cast was filming in downtown Charleston, SC, but that he is definitely gone from the show. “I play golf with him every now and then, and he can be incredibly funny and self-deprecating. That’s my favorite version of him,” the “Southern Charm” star said of his former co-star.
