Former Southern Charm star, Thomas Ravenel’s family estate is on the market now for a shocking price. It is unclear how the house is still connected to Thomas but it was featured on the hit Bravo series. Now, it is up for grabs but the buyer must cough up a pretty penny to be the lucky owner. So, what is the sale price? Keep reading for more details.
Thomas Ravenel’s Family Estate On Market For Shocking Price
When Thomas Ravenel first came on to the Southern Charm scene, he was getting ladies. It was questionable if they were after his money or his family name. He had a luxurious family home, and a past career in politics, albeit a scorned one, and gave this air that he was something very special. That lured a much younger Kathryn Dennis in and they ended up having two children together, Saint Julien and Kensie. Unfortunately, she suffered some setbacks and he gained custody of the children.

Even with Kathryn’s setbacks, Thomas was still not a perfect specimen. He had been accused of assault amongst other things. Eventually, he exited Southern Charm and spent a lot of time bashing Kathryn on social media. He says what a horrible mother she is and it does not bode well for him. Recently, however, Thomas opted to run for Governor of South Carolina. It was noted how he had been the treasurer for less than a year when he had to resign when he pleaded guilty to a federal cocaine possession charge. Four days after he announced his gubernatorial bid, he dropped out and now, a family estate is on the market
According to Reddit, the John Ravenel House is on the market for $22 million. Allegedly, it is not currently owned by anyone in the Ravenel family but the history likely speaks for itself and the price tag. It was built in 1848 and has been referred to as the “pink house.” Per fans of the show, Thomas Ravenel showed it off in the early seasons of the show as it is part of his family’s rich history.
Fans Recall The Home
Immediately after seeing the Ravenel listing, Southern Charm fans could see the home so vividly. They recalled seeing it on the show and when Thomas Ravenel would take someone to see it. Yet, it was clear he had nothing to do with it:
- They’ve shown several houses that were either once owned or are still owned by a Ravenel. Or maybe they were all just once owned by? I think I recall the one you’re talking about, though. Is that the one that he had the kids living in the guest house because “kids are just too messy.”?
- It’s not Thomas’ house. Just a Charleston landmark whose original owner is an ancestor of Thomas.
- Im pretty sure in the episode where he pointed it out to Kensie, he said his grandfather or great grandfather built it, but he didn’t say if it was even still in the family.
In any case, the home is up for a pretty penny but apparently in an area that has heavy flooding. Therefore, no one would be able to live there in the near future. Though it is a great thought, it may be hard to find a buyer.
