Leva Bonaparte announced her departure from Southern Charm at the end of March 2025. She was an integral part of the group, and certainly offered JT Thomas a sympathetic ear. Venita Aspen was very close to her. But ultimately Leva stepped away to focus on her family and her role on Southern Hospitality.
Venita is feeling the loss of her cast mate. And the fashion influencer spoke highly of Leva’s influence on the show in a recent interview. She also reflected on her own role after joining the show in Season 7 as a friend to the cast.
Venita Aspen is sad Leva Bonaparte’s leaving Southern Charm
The Bravolebrity spoke exclusively to Deadline about her future on Southern Charm, albeit without Leva.

“I don’t want to talk about it. I am very excited for Leva, but I would be remiss to say that I’m also very sad for myself to not have her back,” she said.
Venita continued, “I just feel like with the girls, we just have gotten it down to a science. I feel like we are… We’re a tight-knit. We’re putting in the work. We even got Leva to come out a lot this year and she typically didn’t do that, just because she loves to spend a lot of time with [with her son] Little, but she was making the effort to be [to go out]. I’m a little sad that [the audience] won’t get to see that moving forward, but I am very, very happy for her.”
Should Southern Charm get an eleventh season, Venita is ready to share the next chapter in her story. And she will no longer be holding back.
“I do want to come back for another season. I feel like [if I return], there will be no more holding of the tongue,” she explained. “I’ll keep it classy, as I always do, but I will definitely be sure to share my opinions more often than not moving forward.”
Venita said that fans are reaching out on social media to encourage her. She said of the support, “I’m not crazy. I’m not the only one thinking. I always used to think that, oh, maybe I’m the only one thinking this, which is why I kind of kept my opinions to myself, but to really see that there were so many more people that agreed with what I was saying than that went against it, it was kind of nice, and it will give me the courage to continue to do that moving forward.”
