On Season 14 of Real Housewives of New Jersey, the divide between the cast is at its lowest point. On one side, you have Teresa Giudice and Jennifer Aydin. Then, on the other side, you have pretty much everyone else. Dolores Catania is in the middle, desperately trying to bridge the gap. It’s hard to watch, and something has got to give. According to Real Housewives of Orange County stars Tamra Judge and Emily Simpson a full-blown intervention might be the only hope for these women.

Desperate times call for desperate measures

The idea for a RHONJ intervention came up during a recent episode of Two Ts in a Pod. Tamra and Emily were discussing the fact that ahead of Season 14, the entire cast knew they wouldn’t be forced to film with people they didn’t like. Therefore, folks like Teresa and Melissa Gorga basically went the entire season without interacting.

As Real Housewives experts, Emily and Tamra acknowledged how this divided approach to RHONJ seemed risky. In Tamra’s opinion, a “smart” Housewife would have avoided the disjointed approach. Emily agreed and then shared her suggestion for how to get the RHONJ cast to move forward: an intervention.

“I feel like I want to sit down with them and have a family interventionist. and they all have to be in the same room and you lock the doors and no one’s allowed to leave,” Emily suggested.

Tamra agreed, adding, “I think Andy [Cohen] should. I think he should go in there and sit down at the beginning of the next season.”

Typically, there’s this little thing called a reunion that allows the women to do just that — sit down with the doors locked while Andy has them talk through their issues. For reasons yet to be discovered, Bravo decided that a reunion wouldn’t make sense for Season 14. Instead, they’re currently working to figure out how to wrap up this season without bringing the women together. Maybe it’s not too late to move forward with this intervention idea.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey airs on Sunday nights at 8/7c on Bravo.
