Teddi Mellencamp hinted at why she was fired from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and she recalled having sex while another couple was in the same bed. The star also shared that she’s considering writing songs with her dad, John Mellencamp, and she addressed feeling “brutally depressed” after her recent surgery.
Earlier this year, Teddi discovered multiple tumors in her brain. She soon had to get surgery, followed by several weeks in the hospital. Leading up to the diagnosis, Teddi was dealing with her divorce from Edwin Arroyave, the father of her children.
The 43-year-old, who’s rumored to be returning to the show, was on RHOBH for three seasons. During her second season, she helped expose allegations that Lisa Vanderpump leaked a story about her friend Dorit Kemsley. Lisa left the show after the controversy, which was called “Puppygate,” given that the story involved a dog Dorit adopted from Lisa’s charity foundation.
On her Diamonds in the Rough podcast, Teddi shared that she once had sex with somebody while another couple was also having sex in the same bed. Teddi said it happened a long time ago, and she doesn’t remember all the details.
“I wasn’t even paying attention to what the other people were doing,” she recalled. “But we didn’t have another place [to go].”
The star also said she’s discussed the idea of writing songs with her dad, John Mellencamp, and she wants to take singing lessons.
“I just want to do something new,” she said. “I don’t want to get stagnant.”
Teddi then shared that she was “brutally depressed” for the first five days after her brain surgery when she had to stay in the hospital. At the time, she felt “broken” and “didn’t want to see anyone,” including family and friends.
“If you’re feeling sad or you’re feeling depressed, find something that you can go do that makes you feel alive,” she said. “Your body knows it wants to be alive.”
Later on, Teddi hinted at why she was fired from RHOBH.
“I think I lost my job season two,” she said. “I think I lost my job season two, and they kept me around for season three, and I became a nothing burger, and then that was the end.”
“And you can do the math on what happened on season two and figure that out,” Teddi continued, seemingly suggesting that her involvement in exposing the Puppygate scandal was the reason she was axed.
