Teen Mom star makes unexpected appearance in spinoff trailer after quitting franchise

A new season of Teen Mom: The Next Chapter premiered on Thursday, Jan. 30 with their favorites Leah Messer, Catelynn Baltierra, Maci Bookout, and Amber Portwood back on their screens. The Teen Mom has convened cast members from several spinoffs, including Teen Mom OG, Teen Mom 2 and Teen Mom: Young + Pregnant.

One person viewers thought they wouldn't be seeing on the franchise anymore is Kailyn Lowry. The Teem Mom 2 star announced her departure in 2022 after 11 years on the MTV show. However, it looks like the star had a change of heart.

Fans got to see a sneak peek of what is to come in the new season of Teen Mom: The Next Chapter. One of the clips showed Kailyn paying Catelynn and Tyler Baltierra a visit.

Apparently, the former Teen Mom 2 star met up with the couple, as well as Maci, to talk about some of the drama. Catelynn is seen opening up to Kailyn about the challenges she and her husband, Tyler, have been experiencing with Brandon and Teresa Davis, the adoptive parents of their firstborn daughter, Carly.

Catelynn said: "Teresa said she needs to have a very sincere apology. I deserve a f-----g apology."

Viewers at home have seen Catelynn and Tyler go back and forth with Brandon and Teresa over trying to see and speak to their daughter. When Carly was adopted, they agreed on an open adoption. Viewers also saw Carly and Tyler go out of their way to meet up with Carly, with no cameras around. After some visits, Brandon and Teresa eventually stopped going on the show and ceased communication with Carly altogether from her biological parents.

Catelynn once spoke to E! News and admitted that Brandon and Teresa "100 percent closed the adoption."

She continued to say: "I’m still blocked [on social media] and they recently told me to quit sending gifts [to Carly] because it was inappropriate and uncalled for, just a whole bunch of things.
