The Golden Bachelorette: Reasons Joan Vassos' Biggest Mistake Of The Season May Haunt Her Forever (SPOILERS)

The Golden Bachelorette season 1 is in full swing, and Joan Vassos may have already made a mistake that could haunt her for the rest of her life. Joan, a 61-year-old private school administrator from Maryland, made her television debut during the inaugural season of The Golden Bachelor when she moved into The Bachelor mansion to date 73-year-old Gerry Turner. She was among 22 fabulous older women competing for a chance at love with the retired restaurateur.

Joan didn't last for long, as she ended up leaving the season early to tend to a family emergency. Though Joan expected that to be the end of her Bachelor journey, fate had other ideas in store for her. Though she was only one of several fan favorites from Gerry's season, Joan was cast as The Golden Bachelorette. Her season recently premiered, but it's already clear that Joan made a shocking mistake that she may regret.

The Golden Bachelorette season 1 recently premiered, and Joan met the 24 impressive men who'd be competing for her roses. Bachelor Nation On ABC (via YouTube) recently released a trailer for The Bachelorette season 1. The clip begins with 26-year-old Kelsey Anderson from The Bachelor season 28 stepping out of the limousine. Kelsey was the winner of Joey Graziadei's season, and her father, Mark Anderson, who had appeared during her season, stepped out of the limousine behind her. As Kelsey introduced Joan to her father, Joan beamed, really excited about a chance to date the tall, attractive widower.

Though Joan seemed truly excited about meeting Kelsey's father, the reality television reporter Reality Steve revealed that Mark was not the man who won Joan's final rose. It's hard to understand because several episodes of The Golden Bachelorette season 1 have aired, and Joan seemed to like Mark; they even shared more than one steamy kiss, but she clearly liked someone else even more. It'll be interesting to see how far Mark goes, and what happens to turn Joan off from him.

They say that everything happens for a reason, and fans should remind themselves of that to soothe their disappointment over Joan's elimination of Mark. Though Mark didn't win Joan's heart on The Golden Bachelorette season 1, he could be cast as The Golden Bachelor season 2. Now that he has appeared on two Bachelor Nation shows, Mark is practically franchise royalty and would make a fantastic lead. Joan may come to regret sending Mark home early.

The Golden Bachelorette season 1 airs on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. on ABC.
