The Traitors and Ariana Madix Win Big at Critics Choice Real TV Awards

   

Critics Choice Real TV Awards 2024: See the Full List of Winners

The Traitors was the top winner at the 2024 Critics Choice Real TV Awards, with the Peacock series taking home four awards, including best competition series, best ensemble cast in an unscripted series, best show host and male star of the year, the latter two won by Traitors emcee Alan Cumming.

Apple TV+’s The Reluctant Traveler With Eugene Levy won two awards, including best unstructured series and best travel/adventure show, the only other multiple award-winning program on Saturday night.

Though RuPaul’s Drag Race went into the evening tied with The Traitors for the most nominations this year (five each), Drag Race only won one award, for best lifestyle show: fashion/beauty. Best structured show went to HBO’s We’re HereVanderpump Rules‘ Ariana Madix was named female star of the year.

In addition to the competitive awards, the Critics Choice Association honored Tom Bergeron with the first ever Sam Rubin Award, named for the KTLA anchor and longtime Critics Choice board member who died last month, and John Walsh with the career achievement award. Alfonso Ribeiro presented Bergeron with his honor and Walsh’s son, Callahan, presented his dad with his award.

Hosted by Randy and Jason Sklar, the sixth annual Critics Choice Real TV Awards recognized excellence in nonfiction, unscripted and reality programming across broadcast, cable and streaming.

Presenters at the Fairmont Century Plaza ceremony in Los Angeles included Brock Davies, Chelsea Lazkani, Drew and Jonathan Scott, Duff Goldman, Jane Lynch, Joe Manganiello, Justin Willman, Kamie Crawford, Kirsten Dunst, Mary Bonnet, Matt Iseman, Nicole Young, Patti Stanger, Phil Keoghan, Retta, Sandra Lee, Scheana Shay and more.
