The Valley Season 2 has proved insightful into the toxic marriage of Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright. And the more that comes out, the more fans are rallying behind the Kentucky native. Brittany certainly kept a lot under wraps during their four year marriage. Some of their worst fights have been caught on camera during their stint on reality TV.
With their divorce still pending, the Vanderpump Rules alum revealed that Jax is still trying to control the narrative. Perhaps to manage public image. And Brittany suggested feeling muzzled by her estranged husband in a recent interview.
Is Jax Taylor trying to silence Brittany Cartwright after filming The Valley Season 2?
Brittany shared her thoughts on the divorce during a visit to SiriusXM’s The Nikki & Brie Show. Host Nikki Garcia asked about how the airing of The Valley Season 2 has affected Brittany and Jax’s communication now. She’s certainly weathered “worst days.”
“How has it been with your relationship with Jax when everything airs? Good terms, not good terms? Does it bring things up?” she asked.
“Things definitely still get brought back up. I feel like I’m personally in a better place now. It helped me be stronger in a weird way,” Brittany replied. “I always say it helped hold me accountable because it was on TV and it, you know, the whole world judging you and everything else. I feel like I hold a mirror up to myself and I’m like, ‘I can never go back,’ you know?”
She described her situation with Jax as “a roller coaster.” It seems that, for a change, he wants to stay under the radar currently.
Brittany shared, “It’s always up and down. He’s in this phase right now where he’s like, ‘Please stop talking about me, stop talking about me,’ and I’m like, ‘Again, you did all this stuff when you knew the cameras were around, so I have to talk about it,’ you know, and I don’t want to be silenced ever, so I’m going to speak my truth.”
The Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor divorce is still pending
The estranged parents, who share four-year-old son Cruz, are not “officially divorced” yet. Brittany confirmed that it “has not been finalized yet,” but she’s confident that it will happen “soon.” Jax has a tendency to wait “till the last second for everything.”
“I don’t know if he weirdly thinks that I’m gonna call it off or something one day. I don’t know. It’s weird how he waited till the very last day to sign, you know, whenever I wanted to even get the process going. Waited till the very last day, messed up on all the paperwork, did all this stuff, and now it just seems like he just keeps doing stuff to prolong it,” she explained.
Perhaps Brittany can rest assured that Jax isn’t “really fighting” her currently. She added, “it’s more like he’s just not wanting it to be final, if that makes sense.”
