Janet Caperna addressed the claim that she and her family fled the country due to online hate from fans, as Kristen Doute and Zack Wickham reacted. Last week, Janet revealed several hate messages from viewers, including death threats.
At the time, she also seemed to shade Kristen for responding to a fan who called Janet out for accusing Danny Booko of having a drinking problem when Janet herself drinks freely on The Valley. Throughout the season, however, Janet seemingly was in a better place with Kristen’s bestie, Zack.
Many fans have accused Janet of trying to ruin castmates’ reputations to stir up drama for the show. They also claim she has no accountability for her onscreen comments.
“I had a bunch of people reach out asking if we’re okay,” said Janet in a recent social media video shared by @bravosnarkside on Instagram. “There was a headline that came out that said Jason and I fled the country because of the hate we’ve been receiving lately.”
“I think that came from our podcast, This Side of The Hill, that [my friend] Jared and I recorded last week, where we addressed some of the hate and haters and messages that we’ve been receiving. But this is a much-needed planned family vacation we’re on. We are in Switzerland, and it’s been lovely. But I just want to say thanks to everybody who has reached out, both friends, family, and strangers. We are good.”
She then promoted her podcast.
“And if you’d like to hear at the podcast where these headlines came from, instead of, you know, the clickbaity headlines that sometimes get out there, you can hear it in my words. I’ll put the link below,” she said. “But I really appreciate everybody. And we will be unfleeing and returning to the United States.”
After the video, Kristen shared her reaction.
“I’m really trying to keep my thoughts to myself… 😂,” wrote Kristen, via @cici.loves.you on Instagram.
Zack ‘liked’ Kristen’s comment, as the fan account pointed out that Zack and Janet no longer follow each other despite their brief reconciliation.
