Over the weekend, Schwartz took to his Instagram Stories to share a behind-the-scenes view of Tom Tom, snapping photos with restaurant goers. In one image, Schwartz had "Saturday hangs" with several patrons, and in another, he enjoyed the brunch at the establishment with SUR manager Peter Madrigal.

In another snapshot, Schwartz smiled with manager Logan Cochran who appeared overjoyed to be at the swanky locale. "[Tom Tom] still popping tonight," Schwartz wrote over the image, adding a red heart emoji for good measure.

The bar entrepreneur continued to document the scene in a succession of Instagram Story photos and videos, recording a clip of The Valley's Zack Wickham dancing and enjoying the music selection at the spot.

"[Zack] full range of emotion," Schwartz wrote over the video of his pal who did a fine job elevating the energy of the joint.

In another video, Schwartz showed how the vibe was taking off with the music of the late DJ Avicii filling up the space.

Tom Schwartz talks about Schwartz & Sandy's closing

Though Tom Tom is "popping," unfortunately, Schwartz and Sandoval's other LA establishment, Schwartz and Sandy’s, closed its doors on Dec. 21, 2024, about two years after it opened.

On an episode of The Valley Season 2 After Show, Schwartz sat down with Jax Taylor and Jesse Lally to share his thoughts on the matter.

“Honestly, I think I’m still processing everything that happened,” the Minnesota native shared. “I’m at least proud to say that I can walk away knowing that I put everything I had into that place,” he said. “Almost all of my money. Lord knows I over-leveraged myself. I feel like we really never were fully accepted or embraced by the neighborhood, but I’m f—king proud of that place.”

Looking back, Schwartz said on the After Show that he finally feels “closure” and a “newfound sense of peace.” He described the stress of the early days, saying, “It was like perpetual, constant anxiety — when you’re hemorrhaging money. And you know that this place with your name on the side of the building is not doing as well. Your employees are suffering now. They can’t pay their bills. It’s just a lot.”

Reflecting on how he’s grown, he added, “I think I was too soft before that bar. If anything, now I feel like I have so much more life experience. I have more grit… I feel like I have just a newfound respect and appreciation for life… I just feel like I’m growing in so many ways.”
