After walking down—but ultimately away—from the aisle, Virginia Miller didn’t realize that it would be one of the last times she’d talk to Devin Buckley.
But, as the Love Is Blind season eight participant revealed, that's exactly what ended up happening once she realized she wasn't ready to get married during the finale.
“Devin never reached out after filming," Virginia exclusively told E! News. "I reached out to him for about a week, and then he stopped answering my phone calls. So, that's been hard to deal with."
As she explained, "I think I'm naturally a person that has my guard up a lot, so to be engaged to somebody and then they ghost me like that—to be so far and deep into the process and introduce him to all my family members and my friends—it was a little, I don't want to say traumatic, but it was something that I've had to deal with over the last year of learning to trust people again.”ICYMI, though Devin ended up saying "I do" on their wedding day, Virginia was the one who ended their relationship, noting that "there was just depths of our relationship" (i.e. bigger differences such as politics) she felt the pair simply didn't get to.
And according to Virginia, she and Devin were on the same page about their future—even when it came to not necessarily being ready for that next step.
"I have no idea why he said that, we talked about it previously," Virginia revealed about Devin's decision on saying yes to getting married. "I don’t know why he said, ‘I do.’ I do think that Devin loved me very much, and I loved him very much, and we were trying to navigate this unconventional environment, and we're still sorting that out to this day."
However, the healthcare recruiter, 34, remains confident in her decision.
"I haven't had to second guess it at all, so I feel good about that," she continued. "I have a lot of peace about that, but I don't know where the wires got crossed."
And as for the future, Virginia is just enjoying living the single life.
"I'm open to dating," she told E!. "I'm still processing everything that happened. I really want to look inward and get to know myself better and get to love myself better. I'm interested in freezing my eggs this year and just kind of focusing on me, but I'm inviting love in. So if the right person comes along, I'm open to that."
