Tommy Fury makes bizarre U-turn and opens door to Mike Tyson fight with one demand

Tommy Fury has now suggested he would fight Mike Tyson - if he was handed a mammoth £50 million.

Tyson returned against Fury's bitter rival Paul in a bizarre comeback fight last November at the age of 58, far beyond his prime days in the ring.

It was a tough watch as Tyson looked a shadow of himself and was beaten comfortably by the YouTuber-turned-boxer.

But it was a commercial success with the event seeing both fighters paid a monstrous $20 million apiece.

Fury at the time was quick to criticise Paul for facing the veteran, and insisted he would never do the same.

He said last year: "Would I get in the ring with Mike Tyson if I was offered it tomorrow? No.

“You have to have some respect about you I think."

But now the Briton believes he would step in the ring with an even older Tyson, providing he receives a career-high purse.

He told Eddie Hall on his podcast: "Listen, if someone is offering you £50 million, what are you going to do?

"Listen, everybody back home can say what they want.

"If someone is coming at you with £50 million, you are going to fight a 60-year-old."

Tyson has indicated he is unlikely to return despite the prospect of more huge financial offers.

The former undisputed champion claimed he 'nearly died' while preparing for the clash.

And a new outing is unlikely to be sanctioned given his public statements over his health and physical conditions.

Fury has in the past been against fighting retired veterans, but has entered the influencer boxing space.

Having not fought since beating KSI in October 2023, Fury has now made a comeback.

The Briton comfortably outboxed Kenan Hanjalic in Budapest last month to work away any cobwebs.

But he has yet to schedule in his next bout, and has been heavily linked with a rematch against Jake Paul.

Fury beat Paul in February 2023, but a sequel has yet to materialise.

Although 'TNT' believes it is only a matter of time.

He added: "For him [Paul] to get better, he needs fights like he had with me.

"And I know if I fought him now, I would do the same thing to him. He has got the L.

"I am not chasing the fight. The only fight that matters is me. Everybody knows that.

"He has one loss on that record and that is to me."
