Lala Kent has not ruled out having another child.
Six months after giving birth to her second daughter, Sosa, the “Vanderpump Rules” alum told People magazine that she’s playing things “by ear” regarding having a third baby.
“I have not canceled out having one more,” Kent told the outlet. “I think that I just, I’m not ready for that stage of my life to be over, you know, the having kids. …I’m just not ready to be done with it, especially when I look at Ocean and Sosa as like brand new babies.”
“I’m like, ‘I got to have one more,’” she added. “Plus, they’re so damn cute. I just make cute kids.”
Kent welcomed her daughter Ocean with her former fiancé Randall Emmett in 2021. In September 2024, she gave birth to Sosa, whom she conceived via intrauterine insemination (IUI) with a sperm donor.
Lala Kent Had to Prepare For Being a Single Mom of Two
Kent knew that being a single mother of two would not be easy. When she was pregnant with Sosa, she admitted that her plans for future children could be swayed depending on how she adapted to being a mom of two.
During an episode of her Amazon Live series “Mama’s Still Got It” posted when she was still pregnant with Sosa, Kent revealed, “If we were just going off of how I feel right now, I’d be like, ‘Yes, give me a third. But this baby could come, and she could wreck me, and I mean just as she starts getting older — like have a personality that just is intense.”
Kent told People that she prepared herself for “absolute torture” once baby No. 2 arrived. “Because people said one is great, two is no [expletive] joke,” she said. “And so, I was preparing myself for the worst, but I knew that this moment would be fleeting. It’s actually been a well-balanced transition. All hands are on deck.”
While Kent does not have a significant other to help raise her kids, she does have a ‘pod’ which includes her mother, Lisa Burningham, and her brother Easton. She also has pal Scheana Shay close by.
Lala Kent Prefers Single Motherhood
Kent’s firstborn daughter Ocean was just seven months old when the “Give Them Lala” podcast host split from Emmett. But Kent admitted in an interview that even before that she wanted to parent solo.
“Even when I was in my partnership and gave birth to Ocean, I immediately became very territorial and I didn’t want anyone else involved,” she told Parents magazine in August. “I wanted to call all the shots, I felt l knew best because I carried this baby for nine months. I know I’m going to find a partner one day, but I don’t want to share children with that partner because single motherhood suits me best.”
