Vicki Gunvalson Reveals What She Told a Producer Not to Air

“Real Housewives of Orange County” star Vicki Gunvalson said she requested a producer to not air a specific scene.

Vicki Gunvalson slams Bravo for 'traumatic' moment learning of mother's death on camera

While recording a November 2024 episode of her podcast, “My Friend, My Soulmate, My Podcast,” Gunvalson said she took issue with her former castmate, Lauri Waring Peterson, saying that she was with multiple sexual partners at one time while in Whistler, Canada during RHOC season 8. Gunvalson has repeatedly denied Peterson’s claim.

During the November 18 podcast episode, Gunvalson said she confronted a RHOC producer about the situation.

“I took one [producer] aside and put them up against the wall in Whistler and said, ‘What are you guys doing? You said that I’ve been with multiple partners? I’ve never been -‘ ‘Well we kind of showed that to Lauri. And Lauri went off on it.’ I’m like, ‘What are you talking about? I’m a one man woman. I’ve never and I will never.’ So I literally took him up by his shirt,” said Gunvalson during her podcast episode.

In addition, she said she told the producer to not air the scene. Gunvalson, however, said that the producer made sure the scene made it to air because of her intense reaction.

“I said, ‘You may never air this. You may never do this.’ He said, ‘Oh yeah. We’re going to air it. Because you were like psycho on the ski hill.’ I’m like, ‘Don’t lie about me!'” said Gunvalson.

During an August 2024 episode of her podcast, “My Friend, My Soulmate, My Podcast,” Gunvalson said she was frustrated by a producer during RHOC season 18. According to Gunvalson, the producer wanted her to have a confrontational interaction with her castmates Tamra Judge and Katie Ginella while attending Jennifer Pedranti and Ryan Boyajian’s engagement party. Gunvalson said she refused to do so because she did not want to ruin Pedranti and Boyajian’s event.

“The guy that pulled me aside is a friend of mine. And he said ‘Listen, if this is your reality where you are not comfortable, I want you to approach Tamra.’ I said, ‘Not going to do it. This is Jen and Ryan’s night.’ And he then said, ‘What about you confront Katie about talking about Heather [Dubrow]?’ I said, ‘Not going to do it. Not my business.’ And he goes, ‘Damn. You’re not going to do anything?’ I said, ‘What I’m going to do is go home,’” said Gunvalson on her podcast.

Gunvalson, who stopped filming as a full-time RHOC cast member in 2019, shared whether she would film for future seasons of the series in the November episode of her podcast. She said she would consider returning if there were “a lot of guidelines” in place.

Gunvalson made similar comments about returning to the series in a November 2024 interview on Jeff Lewis’ radio show, “Jeff Lewis Live.” Gunvalson said she would be interested in coming back to RHOC. She said, however, that “it would be very difficult to film with” Judge. As fans are aware, Judge and Gunvalson have had a public falling out after filming RHOC season 18.

Gunvalson addressed that she was fired from the show in 2020 before returning for guest appearances on the series in 2023 during the October 21 episode of her podcast, “My Friend, My Soulmate, My Podcast.”

Gunvalson said she “was devastated” by Bravo’s decision to not renew her contract. She noted that she began filming the series in its first season, which premiered in 2006.

“I was like, ‘What do you mean? This is my show. I created the name, I created the whole [expletive] thing. What do you mean you’re not taking me back?’” said Gunvalson.
