“We’re Building Something Real”: Emma Slater & Alan Bersten Announce They’re Moving In Together This Summer After Finding Their Own Rhythm

After months of speculation and subtle Instagram hints, Dancing With the Stars pros Emma Slater and Alan Bersten are finally ready to share their next big step — and it’s not on the ballroom floor.

In a sweet, heartfelt announcement, the couple confirmed they’re moving in together this summer.

“It just feels right,” Emma said. “We’ve been dancing around this decision for a while — no pun intended — but now, we’re finally in sync in every way.”

“We Found Our Rhythm — On and Off the Floor”

Their connection may have started with choreography, but Emma says what they’ve built together goes far beyond eight counts and rehearsals.

“Alan makes life feel steady,” she shared. “There’s something about how we balance each other — he’s spontaneous, I’m thoughtful, he’s bold, I’m a little more grounded. But together, we work.”

Alan echoed the sentiment, adding that living together feels like a natural next chapter.

“This isn’t a trial run,” he said. “We’re not just shacking up. We’re building something real — a home, a life, a future.”

From Dance Partners to Life Partners

Though they’ve both had public relationships in the past, Emma and Alan have taken a more intentional approach with each other.

“There was never a big, dramatic ‘are we official’ moment,” Emma laughed. “It just grew. Organically, honestly. And that’s why this feels so solid.”

They credit their slow-burn connection — and plenty of communication — for how strong they’ve become.

“We’ve had tough conversations. We’ve disagreed. But we always came back to one thing: we want this to work,” Alan said.

The Apartment, The Vision, The Dream

The couple revealed they’ve already picked out a place — “It has a huge kitchen, because Emma loves to cook,” Alan beamed — and plan to move in before the next DWTS season begins.

“We want our home to feel like joy,” Emma said. “Not perfection, not Pinterest. Just real, joyful, lived-in love.”

What’s Next?

While the couple isn’t rushing into marriage or baby plans, they’re not ruling anything out either.

“Right now, it’s just about choosing each other. Every day,” Emma said softly. “We’ve both had chapters where the timing was off. But this one? This feels just right.”
