Katie Maloney is not pumped about the Vanderpump Rules reboot.

Maloney, who appeared on all 11 seasons of the original series, joined her former costar and ex-husband Tom Schwartz on the Tuesday, April 22 episode of his Detox Retox podcast. Maloney, who will not be participating in the Bravo reboot, had some choice words.

"This isn’t against any of [the new cast]," Maloney, 38, said. "I don’t know them, but it just feels cheap to me. It feels cheap and I don’t like cheap."

She elaborated by saying that production cannot “replicate a recipe.” Instead of launching a separate program, the show will continue with new cast members. “With the same name [but] different show. There’s not even a season 1. To me, it just feels like it’s going to try to have the same flavor and the same everything," Maloney said.

Prior to Bravo's decision to overhaul the original cast, Maloney says she already made the decision to leave. She revealed her plans in a December 2024 episode of her podcast Disrespectfully.

“I had made a decision months ago after this past season. I needed to move on with my life. I had talked to our producers about it and I told them my decision on that. I felt personally ready to move on from the show. I felt like my life and where I was at was moving in a different direction. Mentally, emotionally, physically, spiritually, I was prepared to move on from the show," Maloney said at the time.

Her decision came after 2023's "Scandoval," a cheating scandal that involved Tom Sandoval and Rachel Leviss. At the time, Sandoval, 42, was in a long-term relationship with fellow Vanderpump cast member and live-in girlfriend Ariana Madix.

The fallout from "Scandoval" was documented in season 11, despite Madix having a no-contact rule with Sandoval. The last episode of Vanderpump Rules season 11 reunion aired in May 2024.

Lisa Vanderpump first gained popularity for her role on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. In 2013, Vanderpump Rules premiered as a spinoff of RHOBH, and introduced a cast composed of staffers at Vanderpump's West Hollywood restaurant SUR.

Vanderpump has remained tight-lipped about the new cast, other than the show going back to its roots at SUR. “The last 12 years of filming have been an extraordinary run full of laughter, tears and everything in between,” she said in Bravo's press November 2024 release. “I can’t thank enough those who have shared their lives. How I love you all."

Season 12 of Vanderpump Rules, featuring new cast members from SUR, will premiere in 2025, with an exact date to be announced.
