We see a diverse range of celebrities compete for the Mirrorball Trophy on “Dancing With the Stars.” While actors and reality stars often make up a significant portion of each season, there have also been plenty of athletes. Season 18 winner Meryl Davis is an Olympic ice skater, while Season 14 winner Donald Driver is a Super Bowl champion.
Flair Says ‘DWTS’ is on Her ‘Bucket List’
While chatting with Brie and Nikki Garcia — formerly known as WWE’s Bella Twins — Flair talked about everything from her father, Ric Flair, to her recent divorce. Then the conversation turned to WWE stars doing more things outside the world of wrestling, to which Flair’s face lit up.
“Oh, Nikki, I want to do ‘Dancing With the Stars, so bad!'” she told her.
Flair went on, saying that “Dancing With the Stars” or “RuPaul’s Drag Race” is on her “bucket list,” and she’s “manifesting” them into existence.
Nikki is adamant that Flair should try to get on the upcoming season of “Dancing With the Stars” and reminds her that they’re “always looking for people up until August.”
“Fingers crossed,” Flair said. “Oh my God, I am so — fingers crossed for you,” Nikki replied.
Only 4 Wrestlers Have Competed on ‘DWTS’
Flair would become the third female wrestler to compete on “Dancing With the Stars.” She would also become the fifth wrestler on the show overall.
Stacy Keibler competed in Season 2, and she and Tony Dovolani came in third place. Keibler was a Nitro Girl for World Championship Wrestling (WCW) before moving to the WWE. Judge Bruno Tonioli nicknamed Keibler “The Weapon of Mass Seduction.”
