Cynthia Bailey Reveals Her Friendship Status with Kim Zolciak: "My Heart Really Broke

During their time as cast members on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Cynthia Bailey and Kim Zolciak shared their lives as busy single moms and mixed it up with the group as they navigated complex friendship dynamics. These days, their lives look way different: Kim has stepped away from RHOA, and Cynthia is popping up in Season 16 as a friend.

And while they aren't crossing paths on RHOA, Cynthia detailed a recent reunion with Kim in a chat with The Daily Dish on April 3, revealing also where the duo stand currently.

"You know, I am still super busy. I just finished doing a reality show called Got to Get Out. And I basically get to hang out with Kim Zolciak from Housewives. It was so much fun," Cynthia explained when chatting with us exclusively. (For those who need a refresher, their shared RHOA tenure kicked off in Season 3,  which marked Cynthia's first season; Kim was an original RHOA Season 1 cast member.)

Cynthia added about their recent reunion, "[Kim] was one of my roommates along with Omarosa. And just going back to Kim, that was great because we never got a chance to really get close and bond on Housewives. So, she's literally sleeping on my left. Omarosa is sleeping on my right, who's like the GOAT."

The ladies also made some time to bond over their current lives, including Kim's divorce from Kroy Biermann.

"We definitely talked. She's very open about where she's at with her relationship with Kroy. And it really kind of made me sad because we were on the show together, although we were never close when we first met," Cynthia told The Daily Dish. "And I kind of followed the whole journey, watching her life and the beautiful kids and all the things. So, you know, my heart really broke that they're in this place. This is not a good place to be in. But I wish them well, both personally and individually. But we definitely talked."

From there, Cynthia added, "I wouldn't say publicly some of the things that we talked about, but I'm really glad that we walked out [of the experience], when we finally got out, as friends. Because it is, like, no matter with you're ups and downs with Housewives, this is a sorority. It's a sisterhood. This being a housewife is not for the weak. And if anybody can do it for as long as we were able to do it, we deserve to be friends."

Kim also recently shared an update on her sons as they follow in their dad's footsteps in football.
